As a recent informatics retiree, I’m interested in our Department of Biomedixal Informatics and what our colleagues are doing.

My take?
Attend lectures! Let your brain be stretched. I didn’t comprehend many of the higher dimension arguments but I get the compression and visualization of data and even more interesting, attacking the bias and over interpretation of visuals. Explaining complex ideas well is one of the cores of what we do.
Get out there and stretch your brain and grow your skills. Steal great analogies and ideas. Good artists borrow, great artists steal. Let’s be artists!
