China has been aggressive in producing electric vehicles and self-driving taxis. Apparently a recent Baidu network outage resulted in some taxis losing connection and coming to a complete stop on the freeway — a potentially disastrous event. No fatalities reported, but a number of accidents, as you might imagine.

What lessons shall we absorb from transportation to healthcare? We have learned about cockpit crew management from airline safety. What automation lessons shall we learn here, as we accelerate our AI adoption in favor of reducing administrative burden and physician and nurse burnout?

No answers here, just questions, eyes, ears, and (human) mind open.
